FACEBOOK?

Have you guys though about making a facebook fan page for this site (not a group page). I think it would help get some of the information of events out there, also getting more personal with the scene. This way people could find each other easier and help the scene grow in the social media crowed.

Yes!

It would bring in new faces, provide more exposure, and create connections that didn't exist before.

Facebook and Twitter for BDM.com would be recommended. You can tie them together and update one or the other so you don't have to put info in to them twice also. There are also programs and ways to allow multiple people to manage them so not one person would be burdened with the info stream.

Kel already threw that idea my way and facebook page is in the works! I do think a fan page is a great idea as for Twitter not sure if I will do that one just yet maybe once we get the podcast started... I really appriciate the suggestions guys!!! Thank you

Hit me up at the next event we are both at, and we can chat some more about this. There are lots of tools out there that make these things VERY easy to manage and tie together so you only send the update in one place, and all networks update accordingly. Tons of ways to make it simple now.

Also make sure you create a "Fan Page" over a "Group Page" in Facebook. Group pages are good for certain uses, but fan pages have far more features and can be customized to meet your needs.

You can have it so that when you post an event on a facebook fan page, it posts it on the twitter account. That way anyone without facebook/super anti-facebook can also view it.


Let me know if you need help on it as well, I manage 3 facebook fan pages right now.

Ya I started to work on it but havent made it public yet just adding pics and stuff to it... working full time and having business on the side takes a lot of my time to sit down and finish this sorry buddy should be up soon enough
